How about this dandy doomsday scenario...

Okie St loses to Oklahoma
Stanford loses to Oregon
Boise St loses to TCU
Oklahoma loses to Baylor or Iowa State
Arkansas beats LSU
BCS rankings before SECCG end up: #1 LSU, #2 Arkansas, #3 Alabama
Arkansas goes to SECCG and loses
UGA wins the SEC - goes to the Sugar Bowl
LSU plays Bama in the NCG

SEC scores the "impossible" BCS hat trick.

what if mercedes-benz and the superdome get into a heated contract battle and no events could be held at the superdome and the BCS national championship has to be held at tiger stadium with LSU vs. BAMA

FWIW, if Arkansas manages to beat LSU, I expect the order to be Bama, Arky, LSU OR Bama, LSU, Arky.

Ar-Kansas will not beat LSU at home this year. Maybe another year, not this team. Arkansas is fortunate not to be a 3-4 loss team right now and their defense is absolutely horrible. They're certainly capable of beating us as they always are a great match. But this is the best LSU team I've ever seen...so yea. That place will be rocking and the crowd will be the 12th man on the field with LSU.

That would be AWESOME!

They held the Sugar Bowl at Tiger Stadium in the movie "Everybody's All American".

If benz and the dome get into a fight, and NC is in Tiger Stadium, I'll bet the title to my house ESPF'n picks Bama. Especially Robert "I have no life or balls" Smith. He needs to stop breathing.

This. The order would likely be Alabama, LSU, Arkansas. Unless of course Arkansas won big.

Not sure what Mandel was thinking. His scenario is possible but I think unlikely.

Just like our record in the past of playing horrible in day games did not apply, neither does the Arky playing us tough apply... we are going to

I think it's assumed that we need to beat Arky either way just to be sure.

Why would we fall behind Bama...we beat em...should stay in front of them...anyway, this WILL NOT happen...we win out...end of discussion...

It's the old theory of "it's better to lose early".

- Arkansas lost September 24th
- Alabama lost November 5th
- LSU would lose on November 25th in this hypothetical

Save a blowout, I would expect that an Arky win would put the SEC BCS order Alabama, LSU, Arkansas ... sending us to the SECCG anyway. If we win there, we could leap frog them, sending us to the NCG anyway.

Arkansas will be at #5 when they play LSU. It's not a debate, it's a fact that if Arkansas wins they will jump LSU. Laugh at the thought of Arkansas winning in Death Valley but not at the undeniable fact that if they do, they will be ahead of LSU.
