Jefferson led a great drive at the end of the 1st half to tie the game at 3. This was an answer to Bama's drive. Jefferson killed Bama on the option and kept them honest with the pass. Randle dropped a sure TD. This was a very impressive drive. The game is on CSS. It's funny listening to Bama's announcers.

His scramble for a first down late in the game cut their freakin heart out!

Play calling on his first drive was atrocious though. Put him in and have him throw on 2nd and 3rd down??? He about got Shep killed on the long leading pass to the flat. He takes waaaaay too long to throw a ball, the pocket collapses, he tries to run. Most of the time that equates to a wasted down. Say what you wish about Lee but he gets the ball out fast. That is a big difference. I believe there was room to continue to try and have him do that in the second half.

That first drive of Jefferson was not good, but he settled down and played a solid game. I think the game moved too fast for Lee. The pocket collapsed too fast and Lee is not going to run. Jefferson is the right guy to beat Bama and watching the game again solidified that.

Say what you want, but without Jefferson, LSU loses that game. Lee didn't have it on Saturday.

The problem was that Lee couldn't go through the READ quick enough. But I believe that Lee will have another opportunity to do well. We will need him down the road, but it was evident this was not his game.

I just watched Lee throw the 2nd int on CSS. Thank god that their was a block in the back on that play. The Bama announcers just said that this game is not for Lee. Ironic. Bama got 3 points off this turnover.

I remember watching that when I saw the replay. I was glad that it was a drive that didn't lead to a TD, which it very well could have been if not for the block in the back.

Pretty sure Lee will still be the guy on Sat.

Was their a reason that Ron Brooks was the return man and not Claiborne? Brooks only returned 1 kickoff in the preceding games.

I'm not sure why. Maybe you could ask Les.

Jefferson leads LSU down the field again to answer Bama's 2nd field goal at the end of the 3rd quarter and the drive was stalled on the 34 yard line. Jefferson definitely played with poise against Bama's vaunted defense.

Lee will probably start and both guys will split time from here on out. After the way Lee has played all year, he isn't getting benched for two throws. JJ will most likely get more PT than we did previously though.

Damn you sound butt hurt. This thread is about an LSU QB doing something good. Play nice.

Claiborne intercepts. Ware has a run up the middle. It is also obvious that Bama had loaded the box and this was not going to be Ware's game. Jefferson leads LSU for a few more positive plays. I'm noticing a trend of many positive adjustments by our coaches as the game moved along. Alleman comes in and kicks a field goal to tie it up in the 4th quarter.

Bama is driving with 11 minutes left in the game. Richardson just made long run down to the 24 yard line. Mays contributed greatly to Bama's production. These 2 are an awesome 1 2 punch. Bama really needs a QB. He would be 4th in LSU's rotation. Reid just steals the ball and gets the int. LSU ball at the 1. Biggest play of the game as Bama had the momentum. Saban tries trickery and it doesn't work.

Saban tries to pull a "MILES " and it backfires with mays throwing the pass. Wing lowers the BOOM and kicks it 72 yards. A game changing, field of position punt. Saban made some bad coaching decisions and putting a one legged Mays to retrieve the punt was one of them but that was really bad.
