It's what they do. They'll dismiss both LSU and Alabama now. That way they can build up the other teams. That way people will be interested and think it's likely the other teams can beat LSU in the Champ game. It's about conflict and selling stories to get listeners/readers/watchers.

EDIT: Also, they hated how boring the game was cause people dig the long ball. Heard multiple times that KSU/OSU was a better game. Apparently, 2 great defenses against average offense is terrible to watch, but one great and one good offense against terrible defenses is fantastic.

I hear the same story at my job. They say "The SEC is just a one dimension league that has no good QBs just good defense and running games."

Very, very true. They gotta sell ad space and I actually want as many people watching our glory as can be. I want to play Stanford in the MNC and I want as many viewers as possible to think that Heisman toting Luck is going to rain down missiles on us.
