By moving the game to night time did CBS admit that their 230 slot is in reality a shitty time?

If last night’s LSU-Alabama game earned the second-highest rating for a regular-season college football game on CBS, then who was the first highest?

But, But, CBS can't preempt a CSI rerun. They'd lose too much revenue.

I didn't read the link, but do they ever guestimate the actual number of viewers? We had 2 TVs tuned in to the game, but 30 people watching....

Also, bars, restaurants, etc....just curious.

Final numbers. LINK

quote:

#1 LSU’s overtime victory over #2 Alabama earned an 11.5 final rating and 20.011 million viewers on CBS Saturday night, the highest rated and most-viewed college football game on any network (excluding bowl games) since #2 Michigan/#1 Ohio State in 2006 (13.0, 21.037M, ABC).

For CBS, the game was the most-viewed regular season college football telecast since 1989 (ND/MIA: 22.495M).
