I know many die-hard LSU fans that have passed on that would have relished the opportunity to be alive to see this game. I will be thinking of them each play

I doubt this is what you will be thinking of during each play.

Ok...I wrote that line for dramatic effect. But there is one guy that I knew and he was one of the most dedicated and loyal LSU fans I have ever met. We sat in his seats (first row 40 yd line old upper deck west) for the Notre Dame game when Faust was their coach. Dalton Hilliard was our running back. We lost the game but he never once bad mouthed LSU players or coaches. For him, enjoying each and every moment of the experience of LSU Tiger Football at Tiger Stadium was what it was about. He attended all away games as well. Invited me to Starkville and to this day I regret not going with him. He passed soon after and his wife offered me to keep his tickets but under his name. Like a idiot, I refused. One of my biggest regrets in life. No, not every play, but I will be thinking of him a lot. (Pray for us Connie...I know you're watching!)
