I found steel flowed pretty well, both stick welding and with the wire feed/MIG. And TIG. Aluminum was like working with some thick caulk or something. I only tried it for one class in Industrial Maintenance in high school though.

I've never even tried to TIG weld. I'm thinking about buying me a cheap little 110v machine and pushing flux wire through it just for little shite around the house.
