The 03 team has a RING. This LSU team won't win the west if they don't win Saturday. Rings are the most significant way in which you become great. We have to win this weekend in order to prove anything. If we stumble then we haven't accomplished anything that we needed to accomplish. No SECW/SEC chamionship or Natty. Wait till after the game to tag this team as anything

Grow up. The guy does have a point. It's not that this team is not good, but we are 8-0 and have 4 more games yet to play. Let's see how we do next Saturday and the rest of the season.

Don't want to get into the 03 vs 07 thing but the Miss St and Va Tech games were crushing. Both were bowl teams that year.
This team reminds me of the team that whooped Miss St and Va Tech (Two effective QB's helps with the similiarities)

To 2007lsunol: I guess I don't understand you morons...I put a post down there how I think this is the best time in history...I cited my reasons...And for that, I'm told to "calm down" and "grow up"?

so far i think this is the best lsu team iv'e seen but i dont like comparing them to a team like 03 until they accomplish what that team or the 07 team did.imo that 03 defense in the ncg was the best i have ever seen.

Wrong. My message to you was based on your language "frick You". Not necessary and all I ask you to do is let the season play out. You must have gotten your feelings hurt. Don't get your panties in a wad and chill out. We're all Tiger fans and thus far it has been a great year no doubt, but we have not won a SEC Championship yet nor a MNC. I believe it is possible and you may be right. I simply ask you to let the season play out. Enjoy the rest of the season.

If we lose to alabama it will be hard to swallow another conversation about the greatest Tiger team that didn't win championships (ala 2006).

YES you are correct at this stage of the season. You won't get an argument from me or anyone else for that matter. We have dominated the opponent week in and week out.
I was reading another thread on why LSU will win by 2 TD's and how 'Bama rantards think they will win by 2 TD's. Our play on the field in 2011 is the reason we should all have hope that we will win the game even though it's away from home.
To say this 2011 team IS the best in LSU history may be jumping the gun a bit. There are still 6 more games on the schedule (inclucing conference championship game) and that's a lot of football.
We just have to keep focusing on one opponent at a time. 'Bama is NEXT!
