I don't think anyone knows for sure if we fit until we get there and start playing. From 1970 just after Dan Devine left until around 2001 when Gary Pinkel was hired we had some pretty bad football years. Under Gary Pinkel we've grown very competitive and have had some really good productive years. Now they're going to step up to the SEC and we know there will be an adjustment period and then we shall see. As an MU fan I expect them to do their best to be competitive with the SEC or we need new coaches. Whether it happens or not I expect them to go all out to win.

As for the people I think we might find we have more in common than you might expect. We have Branson Missouri which is called Nashville West by some. It is one of Missouri's largest tourist attractions and where many here in Missouri go to have fun.

We love our Barbecue and for years the Number 1 radio station in the KC market was an AM country station kicking the butts of all the FM stations.

One of the biggest fall events in KC for years has been the American Royal. It's major events are the World Series of Barbecue contest, livestock shows and a Pro Rodeo. This years Headline concerts was Pat Green last-night, Lynyrd Skynyrd tonight and Reba McEntire tomorrow night.

As for me I'm not really what you could call a country Music enthusiast But I love Southern Rock. ZZ Top,Lynyrd Skynyrd,.38 Special,Molly Hatchet and yes some Charlie Daniels Band as well. That's just naming a few it would take far too long to list them all.

I guess what I'm saying is, No, We aren't as southern as some might like but lets get to know each other because I bet we have our similarities as well. Like any good marriage they always grow better with time so please give us a chance we may end up being a better fit as time goes on than either of us can know.
