Maybe they were ready to announce it on Monday and wasn't able to because things came up at the Big 12 meetings.. From what I've read the Big 12 is trying to get Missouri to stay one more year and then leave for the SEC. Mr. Deaton was adamant in his latest interview even though he can't legally announce it yet that he fully expects what they plan to do will be for the 2012 season.
According to a post by Mike DeArmond the Star's Missouri reporter The Big 12 supposedly has threatened possible lawsuits from each school that has to replace Missouri on their schedule.
