I simply said that the Horns defense, offense, and QB play is not better than last years with what they have done to date. Not hypothetical they are either worse or equal to last year’s team in terms of performance.

You are the one that said they "could" improve as the season goes on. Given what they have done to date I have no reason to believe they will make this jump. At least not until bowl season with the extra practices (if they make it to one).

And I disagree with this statement. Ash and McCoy are far better than Gilbert. I don't think you can even question that seriously. Also, they have a running game that makes their offense better than last year. The defense is probably about equal to where they were last year.

Fair enough. I should clarify what I was saying. I think right now they could beat Tech and Baylor. I know that sounds crazy since Tech beat OU, but I think that was a fluke. JMO. If they make some improvements, a win over A&M is not out of the question.

And for the record, I refuse to talk to an aggie about this topic. They have an irrational hatred of all things related to Texas and cannot be reasoned with.
