College athletics are big business and Texas/Big 12 are competitors...why shouldn't we care?

This is my point. How is Texas or the Big 12 in competition with the SEC or LSU? We will not be playing Texas on the field anytime soon and our conference already gets far more respect than the Big 12. If the Big 12 got more money for its TV contract, the SEC could use that for future negotiations.
