The thieves guild is definitely situated in a sewer

Can anyone tell me what the world size will be compared to Morrowind? Basically I want to know how much "open" world there will be. (Never got a chance to play Oblivion because I was in college when it came out so that's why I went with Morrowind)

Morrowind was about 9 sq. miles.
Oblivion was about 16 sq. miles.
Fallout 3 was about 15 sq. miles.
Skyrim is about 16 sq. miles.
Oblivion felt smaller because of a faster movement speed and the fact that the land was flat you could go in a straight line to anywhere.

If I hated oblivion and got bored with the gameplay will I not like this game? I loved dead island which is melee combat generally. The trailers look awesome and I like adventure games usually..uncharted, tomb raider etc.

I would bet good money you wouldn't since you hated Oblivion.

I'd give it a quick rent first then. The world in Skyrim looks way more interesting than Oblivion's. There's also more to do.

But the general idea behind the game is the same. Games like Uncharted and Tomb Raider aren't even in the same category as far as genres. Games like Skyrim and Fallout are really in depth and super involved. If you don't have the attention span or patience for something like that, don't even bother, I say. It took me forever to get acclimated to Fallout's slow pace, but loved it once I got over the hump.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Skyrim has dragons and shite. It looks alot more interesting than a wolf

What did you hate about Oblivion, besides the wolves?

It was just so slow walking through the Woods. Then every fight was the same. To much talking to pointless characters going for a smudge of helpful info.
I don't remember any boss type battles either. I liked fallout ok. I realize uncharted isn't the same but my point is I like a good story. Do I need to know any history to understand the plot?

It helps to have some background info on the Elder Scrolls series. While there is an over-arching story, I've always felt that Bethesda left it up to the user to create their own story with the character.

I don't think so. I've never played any of the other Elder Scroll games. I'm sure there is some backstory, but I can't imagine that messing with the experience too much.
You could like this one. The dragon battles are supposed to be epic. All of these types of games are going to have those "talk to everyone you can for info and/or get a quest" moments. It's the part that makes it a grind and really can slow the game down if you aren't super into that kind of thing.

I know your character is always breaking out of prison at the beginning

I am very intrigued. Bethesda is a good studio. The story looks really good and I like the lord of the rings feel it has with the dragons and orc looking things

About the guilds, I was wondering this same thing. In the gameplay videos I've seen on IGN the narrator mentions them as you're walking around. They are going to have a Warriors' Guild and Mages' Guild, but they go by different names (I think he said The Companions and the Cauld of Winterhold), then a Thieves' Guild and the Dark Brotherhood.

Another question. In Morrowind, if there too many items out in the open the game would create something called an overflow bag which all the items would be put in once your character left the area. I joined one of the Houses and ended up with my own crib that I pimped out with shite I had collected. When I left and came back everything was in one of those overflow bags. Will these bags be in Skyrim? Please tell me no
