As an LSU fan, I'm looking forward to this game more than any I can remember. The BCS games were more about the result, not the game itself. The next closest for me was the '82 Florida State game or the '03 SEC Championship game.

As a college football fan, I can remember really looking forward to the '87 OU v Nebraska game. Or a lot of the Florida v FSU V Miami games in the late 80s thru 90s. I wonder where other unbiased college football fans would rank this one?

No. 1 vs. No. 2

you?

I really can't remember. This game will end up being the most hyped regular season match up in a very long time.

Yep. I don't remember ESPN ever doing a count-down before?

They did it for Michigan-Ohio St in 2006. And where is this countdown right now? It's not on ESPN during NFL Countdown.

Didn't they do one for Michigan vs. Ohio State in '06?

Naw...this game has a much bigger feel than Oregon did. There is just so much more on the line. If we lose, we'll end up 11-1 with one of the best teams in LSU history and no championship to show for it.

I hate that the Oregon game was played down so much.... I was like "okay baby, we've got to go to this game... It will be a huge game." we went, and ever since I haven't heard anything about it.

shite, even in September people were looking at Nov 5

Only regular season games I can think of close in the past 10 years are UGA 03 and UF 07

This is the biggest regular season game in LSU history. Without question. Embrace it. And kill Bama.

In Oregon's previous game, Auburn set the precedent by exposing the Ducks' alleged high-powered mystique as a fraud.

We just put the nail in the coffin which may have actually de-valued the significance of our win by further stomping the mystique.
