I'm not asking which is a better movie...yet. I think MacGruber needs some time but I have nothing but utter faith in its potential.

Hot Rod just crushes it with Will Arnett and Chris Parnell, where, MacGruber somewhat fails w Ryan Phillipe. However, I feel that KFBR932 is a supporting character all to himself that seems to outshine everyone.

I dunno, would love your thoughts. Could see these 2 going toe to toe like Israel v Palestine one day.

My name's Pangloss, and I like to party.

MacGruber is so much better it isn't even funny.

McGruber is more in the Grandma's Boy tier of cult comedies.

I too believe MacGruber is funnier than Hot Rod, although the first time (any every subsequent time) I heard Will Arnett say "dong bag" I lost it for 20 minutes.

I actually watched MacGruber for the first time on Saturday.

Holy shite it was funny. Definitely a lot better than Hot Rod.

MacGruber is already above Hot Rod in every way.

The game has changed!

I really think you guys gotta watch Hot Rod more. At least, once a day...I know thats not much but you really start to pick up on alot more of the subtle nuances.

I love Hot Rod and MacGruber. I quote them all the time but no one knows where they're coming from.

Was wondering the same thing. No way is Hot Rod a "cult classic." Not even close IMO.

I've noticed MacGruber has gained a lot of popularity over the past year or so.

Trust me, I'm not knocking MacGruber. Ive seen one movie in the theater in 3 years: MacGruber. Opening weekend, I contributed to the $4.1MM it grossed that record setting weekend.

Hopefully, something so good will come along in the next 5 years that will compel me to go back to the movie theater.

Hot Rod 2 could do it....
