After asking Miles about the LBs, sounds like Francois-Hatcher may have been banged up at times, which gave way to Minter-Tahj Jones. #LSU

quote:

Miles said that Minter and T. Jones have made plays that make the case that they should stay on the field over the senior linebackers.

Hope they get more PT against auburn. We need these guys to step up to help us out in the run game.

About freaking time. If there was a case left on this team about simply being a senior means earning playing time it's been with Francois and Hatcher. Please put them on the bench.

Francios should definitely see some pine time. Seems a step slower this year for some reason. He had a couple of plays against UK that almost led to big plays.

Hatcher is a good Tiger...

but he is just not that good.

Wish him well but I trust what ever Miles does at this point

I've been saying it since game one. Hatcher is a huge liability at LB. He makes zero plays. zero.

Minter is not a great LB yet, but he makes far more plays and will keep getting better with experience.

As for T. Jones and Francois, its a wash right now. Jones is built like a cornerback and Francois plays like Hatcher

minter has been really good all season thus far. tennessee was the most i've seen tahj on defense probably ever and he did well.

Jones has filled out nicely. He was already tall and athletic, but he's put on lots of muscle as expected, and he looks the part. He is willing to stick his nose in there and make a hit too. If you have ability and desire, Chavis will make you into a good LB.

Our linebackers aren't very good. They are average SEC linebackers outside of Baker. As long as our defensive line is as dominant as it is we don't need great linebackers.

Jones main reason for not playing is his size. He is way too small. I don't even think he is 215. If ever gains weight, he'd probably get the starting nod but it seems he might get it by default if they don't move Barrow over.

Might not be too bad for a team like AU who is more finesse running. A power team like Bama though, you don't want Jones over there...

A bunch of fricking coaches on this board studying film apparently. Everyone is dogging Hatcher like he's the only guy to make a mistake on defense.

One person will point out 2 or 3 bad plays, the rant catches on, now Hatcher is teh complete suck. I guarantee none of you fricks could name more than 3 bad plays at the top of your head Hatcher made.
