Mike gives me hope as a father of a highly functioning autistic son. If my son is able to go to college I hope he surrounds himself with people that are brave enough to stand up to the cowards that make fun of people with development disorders. I wish I would have done that for Mike when I was at LSU.

Do you think he was autistic? Definitely possible IMO. But at least he seemed to find a home and some fans of his own there in the student section! As I mentioned before, we were all pretty annoyed at first, but over time he won us over and get as many cheers from us as the actual team did!

Regardless, if anyone knows where he's at or what became of him, let us know....

Yep, doesn't it seem different when it's your own? I have a nephew who is also high functioning autistic. It's called Aspergers Syndrome. He started college this fall! There is hope!

I'm Mike Toole's mother. A friend told me about all the talk of Mike. I tried to get Mike to reply but he is too fearful. He does have aspergers. He now lives in Metairie near the Saints and Zephyr field. He works for the Zephyrs when they are in town. He keeps statistics on the players and uploads it to a company that collects stats on players. He got a degree in Mathematics from LSU and has done post-grad work at UNO in education and broadcasting. He would like to be a sports broadcaster but hasn't had any luck getting a job in that field. Thank all of you for remembering Mike. He loves LSU and he loved reading all that you all remembered about him. Thank you all and God bless you.
