LSU versus Florida ... Round 1 (Tiger Stadium) ... Round 2 (Atlanta)

# 1 LSU don't know it yet, but they're in for a real dog fight this Saturday afternoon in Death Valley. Florida's defense will put up one helluva fight early in this game. I will not be surprised to see a tied score at halftime!
Make no mistake about it, I'm saying LSU will roll, but it won't be easy and it won't happen early. Bama took a lot out of Florida, and LSU will reap that reward later in this tough game, especially in the 4th Quarter when the Gators are likely to be worn completely out.
LSU 24, Florida 10
We're gonna see some smashmouth FB Saturday with a Top 10 defense facing General Lee and Company, likely the Tigers best test to date.
Last time we played a true freshman QB from Florida was in 2003 when we faced Chris Leak.
LSU lost that one 19 - 7 in their only loss that season, going on to win in Atlanta and the Dome
Don't be fooled by Florida's # 17 ranking.

Others have this team in the Top 10, and are assuming Brantley will be back in a couple of weeks.
This squad is a completely different team with Brantley, and they were hanging with Bama early (Score was 10 - 10) and Florida was moving, until Brantley threw that pick - six (17 - 10) , and got injured next series thereafter, when the game was over at 24 - 10. Bama added another 2 meaningless scores to pad TR's Heisman numbers and run up the score to look good in the polls.
I see this Florida team bouncing back after 2 losses and running the table with Brantley back and waiting for LSU in Atlanta
That SEC title game won't be a picnic either, with Arkansas the week before on Thanksgiving.
As for any talk about Bama ... that's another story!

I have no problem with your predicted final score and actually believe it will be tight going in to the 3rd quarter, but LSU is just the better team and playing in Tiger Stadium. Tigers will get the victory!

Nah, UGA will be in Atlanta.

You score is about right, but the game will turn late 3rd quarter and it will be led by the defense (and probably TM7). Brad Wing will have a big night. UF's western conference opponents are so tough I don't know if they get back to Atlanta.

Nice post but that first statement is dead wrong. This Tiger team is focused, regardless of who is taking the Gator snaps. They are expecting a war. Don't expect to see the same team that just played Kentucky. This will be the team that played Oregon and MSU, defensively. Offensively they will be back to executing the way they did against Oregon and WVU.
