Oct. 6, 2007: No. 1 LSU 28, No. 7 Florida 24: The legend of Les "The Mad Hatter" Miles is born as the LSU coach goes for it five times on fourth-and-short and makes it five times. The Tigers twice come back from 10-point deficits — 17-7 in the second quarter and 24-14 in the third quarter — to win in what may have been the greatest game ever played in Tiger Stadium. The teams combine almost equally to gain 705 yards.

One of the greatest games ever played in Tiger Stadium.

That game has replaced the 59 game with Ol Miss as my favorite game.

Cannon's run is still my sentimental favorite play of all time, but the Florida game cannot be equaled in my experience.

This may be an ignorant question, but anybody know if you can download (or purchase) a full copy of the game somewhere?

IMO, the best death valley poster, from kickoff of this game. I have it hanging in my office, it has the date and score in the bottom right corner:fearthehat:

Won the game and MNC for that team. Punting and putting the ball back in the Gator's hands would have been a mistake. I like that Miles plays to win.

2007 UF game was one of the greatest I have ever seen.

Also this day in LSU football history: October 6, 2001. Spurrier's Gators absolutely mauled our eventual SEC champion Tigers by a score of something like 40-14. Crappy game for us but I can't forget it (daughter was born earlier that morning).

That was a game that completely drained you just from watching it. I can only imagine what the players felt like for a day or two afterwards.
