SEC South will be extremely tough assuming Mullen stays at MSU and TAMU builds on the TX talent they will steal from the longhorns. The only shitty team in the division will be Ole Miss.

You can't worry about current situations; you have to look at traditional powers. Things even out, programs rise and fall. Moreover, isn't the West extremely tough right now?

The north south split is not a bad idea, but I can already see Aubie complaining about their Tenn rivalry. It is really the two Bama schools with too many rivalry stipulations. Maybe, they could make a 6 and 6 East/ West or North South division and then let the 2 Alabama crybabies play whoever they want.

What we have to realize that with this expansion , rivalry games will be lost, its just a fact, sad thing to see but i guess new rivalries will develop

Auburn doesn't have a huge rivalry with Tennessee, Bama does. Auburn's biggest rival in the current eastern division, that we would hate to lose, would be UGA. Second behind that would be Florida, from the days of only a 10 team SEC and the few years of 2 permanent cross division games (UGA was one, UF was 2).

I actually like the OP's division with one small tweak.

Move UGA to the south and either Ole Miss or USCe to the north.

You would then have:
north- missouri, kentucky, vandy, tenn, bama, arkansas, ole miss

south-lsu, miss st, tex am, florida, south carolina, auburn, georgia

You could then do for permanent cross divisional games:
AU/Bama to keep the Iron Bowl
MSU/Ole Miss to keep the Egg Bowl
LSU/Arky to keep the golden boot trophy game going

You also keep 3rd Saturday in October, Deeps South's Oldest Rivalry and the Cocktail Party going because teams would be in the same division. The only thing you would lose is Tennessee vs either Florida or Georgia.

Also, unless the SEC rules change, certain games like the Iron Bowl and Egg bowl would have to be moved back from the traditional last game of the season.
