Overall record of 70-17

Conference record of 38-15

Out of Conference record of 26-0(not including bowl games)

Bowl game record of 5-1

SEC Championship game record 1-1

Home record of 41-6

Road record of 23-9

Against out of conference opponents ranked in the Top 25, record is 11-1

Speedy can correct me if any of these are incorrect. This is thru the Auburn game.

Pretty amazing. 80% winning percentage.

Won one SEC championship and a BCS National Championship.

Charlie Mac was fired for winning 79% of his games. He had one BIG problem.... He couldn't beat the Bear from Alabama.

How anyone could think Saban was a better coach is beyond me. I was not a believer in the beginning, in fact I openly said I thought he was a terrible coach. All I can say is what a mistake on my part.

the numbers don't lie. as good a coach as saban was/is, IMHO Miles multi faceted personality and depth of character make him a person who inspires and teaches his kids to play with controlled aggression on the field and to face their responsibilities off.

when the old lady says, "show me the beef"....Miles doesn't bring a burger....he brings the herd.

Was just talking to a Tennessee Fan and he told me how much he liked Les Miles as a coach. He said what he likes most is that Miles gambles in a conservative way at just the right time. He loves watching LSU games because of the way the team plays, you never know what they are going to do and they have such great athletes.

He also said he does not like Saban because he is an old style coach who wins a lot of games but when he gets the lead he plays not to lose the game.

You omit his most impressive statistic (in my opinion).

Against out of conference opponents ranked in the Top 25, Miles is 11-1.

For comparison's sake:

Saban is 12-7 (at Alabama and LSU)

Stoops is a laughable 7-8.
