at least, they 28k for Nicholls and there was space in the stands. So many people wanted to be in the grass. If they forced people into the stands, they could fit a ton more.

we need to get VOR and Rev down for a game.
Posted on 9/27/11 at 12:14 am to NIH
I don't want Rev to try to kill me and wear my skin as a coat.

That would be a cool sight to see and a tough environment to play
If they continue to win and start winning the belt I can't see a reason why the grass can't be half packed always so let's say 33-34k a night

Rev would love to get himself a little cajun guy from Scott or Carencro.
I'm pretty sure VOR spent a semester or two here back in the 70s.

Seems like 3-1 would add a few more thousand to that for this weekend and then I think Troy is next
Hh is that right?

NIH, next time I cook at a tailgate, I'll invite you over to try it out.
Yeah the stadium gets pretty loud and our student section right behind the opposing team's bench is pretty cool as well.

We beat FAU and Troy will be a 35-40kish kind of crowd.

Yep, FAU then Troy then homecoming against North Texas. So if we can win against FAU, Troy will be packed, and if we can beat Troy, homecoming will break the attendance record.

What is the feeling around Lafayette right now?
eta: are they getting talked up more? Are people excited about Hud? is there an increase in bandwagon fans?

yes, yes, and that is yet to be seen. i know a lot of LSU people who want to check out the games when there is no conflict, now.

They actually had fans greet the team at the airport Saturday night after the win at FIU. My friends all over campus were talking about the win today, and it's been all over the news. People are ready for a winner in Lafayette, and it's starting to get exciting.

Andygator or bust!
EVERYONE loves Hudspeth. He is a great salesman and seems to be a great coach as well. Coverage of the Cajuns has increased through KATC, KLFY, the Advertiser, and the Vermilion is even back on line with 2 articles and a UL football podcast weekly.

If I was still in the area and it didn't conflict with LSU, I would go see a game. I don't have that same feeling about Tulane. I have zero desire to go watch them play
ETA: I also like the Cox4 broadcast of the home games. But their sideline reporter leaves a lot to be desired.

Hudspeth is doing exactly what Dan Mullen did in Starkville in 2009 and it's working to a T. The good thing for Hud is that he has a decent sized city behind him to support the program if he can win.

Tulane games in the Dome are depressing. I feel bad for the guys I know on the team.

If we can win consistently, the oil money should start pouring in.
