The best part is that we're a 2nd half team and we deferred; if WVU thought the first half was bad they're going to be suicidal by the end of the 3rd Q.

Anyone hear of our two D linemen, Brockers and Downs? Have they played after they were hurt?

Love the SEC chants to close out the half
So I am committing a crime in being sober enough to provide some rational thoughts. I will keep this short
but it will be tl;dr level for quite a few.
Wing and T-Rex are hands down players of the first half. LSU is winning field positon battle by a mile. And
knowing how stout the defense is they should probably be abusing them inside the 5 but the defense has done
well agaisnt a tough to defend offense.
WVU's lines are playing much better than I expected. Even when thier QB holds on to the ball LSU's rush
can't get to him, and LSU is having trouble running the ball themselves against WVU's line.
I would like LSU to stop blitzing so much and rahter drop off to help in coverage, at the same time I would
like to see their secondary play up in press coverage, they are dropping off much too far and giving an offense
who throws the ball quickly a bunch of space. With LSU's speed if they drop off and just play contain with
their front 7 they can cover all the short routes, and their secondary is talented enough to not give up
the deep play. LSU wont have to worry about giving up rushing yards, because their front 7 is good enough on
a standard rush to not surrender many yards. I expect this to happen since LSU has a big lead, they won't
allow the big play to happen. LSU's secondary could do a better job tackling ball carriers though, but hey
that is nitpicky and WVU has only scored 7 points in one half.
LSU's offense has done well passing the ball, that being said I want to see, and knowing Miles I expect
to see, a much more heavy dose of running. If LSU can do that combined with how well the passing game is going
WVU's defense will be competely off balance and LSU will wear them out and gash them for multiple plays
of long yards.
LSU has done a great job defending a fast paced and spread offense. Their only score came on a drive riddled
with lucky breaks and a play which could have been easily overruled in LSU's favor. Come the second half we
all know Miles will try and wear down WVU with a physical running game, and I expect it to work. WVU will try
and start stretching the field on offense, something out of their own comfort zone, and LSU's strong and fast
defensive line will finally have time to get to their QB as he holds on to the ball to attempt throws longer
than 10 yards.

Rueben Randle and No. 2 LSU are having little trouble moving the ball on the road against No. 16 West Virginia.
