ASF really isn't that bad. Sure, the subject matter is horrible, but it's not real...it's a movie. Whereas the two guys, one hammer video is real life (google Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs for some true horror). Some fricked up ones I've seen:
A Serbian Film
Cannibal Holocaust
Poughkeepsie Tapes
Men Behind the Sun
Human Centipede
Those aren't really too bad.
Some I haven't seen yet:
Audition
Salo
Irreversible (though I've seen the extinguisher scene)
Eraserhead (don't really care to see it though, looks boring)
Funny Games (bought it, haven't had a chance to watch it yet)
Begotten (caught some on youtube, looks boring)
Martyrs (also own it, need to watch it)
Antichrist

Really wanting to see Antichrist. Seems intriguing.
Funny Games is a neat flick, IMO. Probably wouldn't watch it a second time unless there was nothing else on TV, but it is pretty freaky nonetheless. Kind of on par with The Strangers
