The best part is that after all the hysteria of the last four weeks...everyone will be relieved when aTm officially gets their keys to the SEC club. Even those that opposed the move will applaud it as the last piece to restore sanity.
Pretty cool if you think about it.
Tip of the hat to Slive and Loftin.

That article made me think of Mike Slive as Marcello Mastroianni in 8 1/2; doing very little while watching the circus play out around him.

amen brother. this has actually turned damn comical. everyone rattling their swords (that have them to rattle) or whining and threatening to sue everybody (those with no swords; ie baylor) and the acc, seemingly out of the blue, adding 2 teams out of fear of getting left out. it's really surreal; the big east and the remnants of the big 12 are talking merger, the two western conferences talking a 22 team conference, texas joining the atlantic coast conference, etc, etc. this really has given us an insight as to what may, and even probably will, happen in the next few years. noone wants to be left out and insecurity rules the day. guess ole beebe will be taking his 401(k) and transferring it soon.

Texas A&M will become the football flagship university in Texas. And it's hilarious because UT allowed this to happen because of this revenue split/LHN deal. I know that everybody over in Austin thinks there is no way A&M could EVER overshadow them, but when a recruit has a chance to play Alabama, Florida, LSU, Auburn, Georgia - GIGANTIC games every other week on primetime television, OR they could play K.State, Baylor, Ok State and finally get a shot for bigtime on TV vs OU, who do you think they're going to choose?
SEC is in Texas now. This shite is going to get good. Welcome Aggies. You made the right choice.
