It's a silly point. However, you seem to keep close track of the little, silly points that you try to make.

Just like you want this thread moved. You, and many others like you, would rather that Jefferson and this incident be forgotten.

Well, it doesn't take too long for you to show up to give us the other side.

Although 607(C) makes it appear so, I believe 608(B) would exclude or limit it.

Did you listen to it?

The facts I stated are exactly what was stated in the link:

(1) Jefferson did not start a fight.

(2) Jefferson did not engage in the fight.

(3) Jefferson helped pull LSU players away from the fight.

I don't disagree. I'd need to look at the jurisprudence.

There were 24 or 25 witnesses. I cannot recall right now how many affirmed those particular statements, but at least 18 of them did.

When he, as a pedestrian, caused an accident with a truck a couple of weeks ago.

Giving false information on an official police report is not admissible when the case is predicated on that person's statements?

The GJ will return simple battery. JJ will plead and get PTI, have it wiped from his record, and never play football at LSU again

A perfect outcome. His life isn't ruined, he gets a college degree that was paid for, his record is expunged and our season remains on track without seeing him behind center again.

Lowery suffered another injury around 5 a.m. Sept. 4 when he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup while hitchhiking on Highland Road near Airline Highway, a State Police crash report says.

Michael Whitman, 47, of Prairieville, told troopers he was traveling east on Highland when he saw Lowery walking east on the shoulder of the road, the report says.

Lowery’s left thumb was sticking up and his left arm extended into Whitman’s lane of travel, Whitman told troopers in the report.

Whitman couldn’t swerve to avoid Lowery because of a vehicle traveling next to him, the report says. Whitman hit Lowery with his passenger side mirror, shattering it and chipping the paint on his passenger side door.

Lowery, who was taken to a local hospital by his family and treated for moderate injuries, initially told troopers he was hit when Whitman changed lanes, the report says.

Lowery, 21, later changed his story and told troopers he was hit after he stuck his arm into Whitman’s lane of travel in an effort to “catch a ride,” the report says.

Lowery said he was hitchhiking because his car had broken down and he couldn’t get hold of anyone to give him a lift.

After troopers questioned him about his sobriety at the time of the crash, Lowery admitted to having three to four drinks and taking at least one Lortab prior to the crash.

Blood samples were taken from Lowery and submitted to the State Police Crime Lab for analysis.

A trooper issued Lowery a misdemeanor summons for pedestrian soliciting rides. Whitman, who initially fled the scene, was issued a summons for failure to report an accident.

Tommy Damico, Johns’ attorney, said the Sept. 4 incident calls Lowery’s credibility into question and thus the arrest of his client.

“The only evidence the police have are Lowery and the girl he was with that night,” Damico said. “They’ve based their case on those two people.”

Damico said Lowery was drinking the night of the fight and did not give an accurate statement to police about Johns’ involvement in the incident.

Which ones are?

Prior arrest for theft
Conflicting statements on PR, Police/DA interviews

The only one that probably won't be able to come in is the evidence of drunken hitchhiking on Airline. However, there may be away to get it in if he gave an official statement and then changed the story (it was reported that he changed his story but I don't know whether an official statement was ever given.)

Its going to trial. The minute JJ opens his mouth to the GJ, the following will be introduced:
quote:

John Jefferson said he was first alerted to the matter this morning when LSU Coach Les Miles' office called because it could not reach Jordan by phone. Jefferson called Jordan, who was sleeping but returned the call 30 minutes later, John Jefferson said.

"He said he didn't know anything about a fight," John Jefferson said. "He told me 'I've been here four years, and I know it ain't worth it. When I see something going down, I leave. I have too much to lose for that.' "

No one has the market on credibility in this situation. It will go to trial
