I have no doubt some officals at the Sugar Bowl gave money to Blanco. It could be for a lot of reasons, one of those reasons is not to prevent a playoff, since the Gov of La has absolutle no say what so ever in whether the NCAA or BCS forms a playoff.

Really? The source of the investigation is a group called Playoff PAC. I'm sure all they are invested in good clean government and the fact that this corruption involves a BCS bowl is purely a coincidence.

Real sports and others will try and use this to paint the whole bowl system as corrupt, but what it should show to everyone is corruption is inevitable when people use the government for doleing out favors.
