Playoffs are not the issue. The issue is possible corruption withing the bowl's organization and mismanagement of funds. I'm sure there will be more to come.

Really? The source of the investigation is a group called Playoff PAC. I'm sure all they are invested in good clean government and the fact that this corruption involves a BCS bowl is purely a coincidence.

and the individuals involved should be punished if found guilty.

Real sports and others will try and use this to paint the whole bowl system as corrupt, but what it should show to everyone is corruption is inevitable when people use the government for doleing out favors.
