I could see him doing like Jeremiah Masoli and transferring to Ole Miss to finish his career.

Please GOD do not let him redshirt. We are set for 2012 and 2013. No need to mess that up.

Just don't transfer to an SEC school.

i cant imagine him redshirting AND staying at lsu, so i guess the answer is yes.

either come back to lsu and this is it or take the redshirt and transfer

Anyone who would not want this as an option may be clinically stupid.

I've defended JJ as much as ANYONE on here...but I've seen Mett play. He's GOING to be the guy in 2012 and I'm damn excited about it!

That being said, we'd be stupid to not want to have a guy with that many SEC starts as a potential back-up on the roster in case anything happened with Mett. Are you guys seriously suggesting we'd be better off with Mett and Rivers as his backup this early? I realize some of you have the hate on for JJ, but damn...self preservation ought to kick in at some fricking point.

And see Rickey Jefferson playing for Nick Saban.

If JJ is getting screwed, this will not sit well with family.

This would be really bad IMO.

Miles himself personally recruited Mett. This would be a really bad move, redshirting JJ. If I know this, I promise you Miles does.

He'll do the right thing, I have no doubt.

Man, I still can't believe people are sitting here and defending JJ. We had the worst passing offense in the SEC last year. We were also ranked one of the worst in the country. We had all this hype about how JJ was going to blow up the season. He kicked a dude in the head and gets arrested. Dear Lord please do not let him red short and stay. Everything is fine right now. Throwing him back into the mix will do nothing but cause problems. I do not hate him or anything like that, but he is a negative asset to LSU.

Why can't people just let this play out?

If we keep winning with Lee, Les will not change horses in midstream. If we falter with Lee and JJ is reinstated then JJ probably plays.

Anything beyond that is a discussion for another day.

Regardless, it's Miles' decision and he's probably not consulting anyone on the freakin' Rant!

wont happen.... I am not sure JJ is much smarter than a box of hair, but.... I promise you he can see he has NO CHANCE of competing let alone beating out Mett. NONE, NOTTA....
