What position play has surprised you the most so far?

Pre-season I worried most about the defensive tackle position. Since the DTs are important in disrupting the backfield in offenses like Oregon's and shutting down the running lanes in teams like Miss State, I placed a higher degree of importance on them than most. Pre-season I thought they would be average at best. Needless to say, I have been surprised and happy so far with what I have seen

FB position has really come around too. Stamply has always been a hard hitter, but right now he not miss a block and the person that was blocked will be digging themselves out of the ground. LB's don't stand a chance against him.

The Dline. I expected more growing pains here with Nevis gone.

DL is better than I thought, and I thought we would struggle at WR with Shepard out. Beckham is the surprise of the season thus far.

DT has been the biggest surprise so far IMO. Everyone knew there was talent, but it was young, so you just didn't know if they were capable of stopping the run, or getting that penetration we've gotten in the past. Brokers looked like a physical run-stopper, but now looks like more. Downs was only going to be a few down player. Freak would have thought to have had to be a freak, and play out of his mind as a freshman, for us to have any chance. Then out of nowhere comes Logan to be that missing link to make everything just gel. Yeah, that unit has made national attention, and as soon as freak gets more reps, they will be totally badarse! Now we just need to work on MLB.

The defensive line and secondary are absolutely sick. Love watching them play. OBJ is going to have a great career. He is definately the surprise of the year. He needs to be on the field, as he caught everything.

The offense as a whole doesn't look nearly as befuddled either and less penalties have kept drives going instead of stalling them. We are only going to get better as the year goes on.

D-Line. Nevis was the only one last year that was trying to get back to D-Line U. I know Chavis is all about the linebackers but the D-Line seem to be beastly. Like Nick Saban beastly.

FB followed closely by WR.
Stampley is erasing people out on the field.
OBJ's ball skills have impressed as well. No homo.

D-Line in all honesty though, he aren't massive in the middle but we are quick for sure and thats what can adapt to almost any offensive scheme.

Logan and the DL depth is the difference in this defense as compared to last year.

WR, and not so much in receiving as in blocking. Much improved over the last few years. Still not as good as years past but improving.

Then there is the obligatory QB, but I have always had faith Lee could lead the team if given a real chance.

DT's no question. Followed by QB play.

There were a ton of unknowns going into this season and apparently all of those unknowns panned out like we had hoped they would. There was no unknown factor at DT for me. I thought I knew what we had there. Turns out to be a most welcome surprise.

QB has performed how I hoped but really didn't expect to get three games straight of very good performance. This includes Mett. apparently panning out but he is what I expected.

I'd have to say QB, JLee is doing exactly what we need to win games. He hasn't made any big mistakes and that is a much needed change from last year.

I agree. Kicking is excellent, and punting is fine. The kickoffs, now, are another story. Maybe that's what they're talking about.
