I hate that Lee gives a hand signal to our backs on certain run plays that are a very easy tell to the defense that we are running the ball. Does anyone else see this?

Yeah, our audibles are some of the most uncreative in college football

It's no different that Jefferson telegraphing plays by where he places his mouth piece pre-snap
If he is going to hand the ball off, he will keep his mouth piece on top of his helmet

We do it on play action passes as well, so it is no big deal.

Ware and Ford don't seem to give a shite.

That not what he is doing. Im sure they call 2 plays in the huddle. The hand signal determines which one. Or he is indicating where a certain defender or blitz is coming from. But i guarantee you Lee didnt decide to do that on his own or that it means the same thing everytime.

I agree, especially when he does it on first or second down. It's a clear signal to the defense that the Tigers are going to run the ball. Lee is just designating the path based on the alignment of the defense.
I have noticed some very nice gains on some of those plays, though.
Maybe, just maybe, one of these big games, the Tigers will play-action off of that. I haven't seen it yet, though.
This has been going on for several years, maybe since Crowton got here, or, perhaps, even Miles.
