Anyone else surprised by the countless 3rd and long dives?

It seemed like we wasted several opportunities on 2nd and long and third and long (2;11, 3;7, 3:5, 2;15, etc.) by simply running the FB lead dive. I'm all about melting clock and we did a great job of it, but as well as JL was playing I was a bit surprised with the playcalling on 3rd and long. Any one else agree?

I think we'll start taking more chances as the season progresses. We'll have to against better teams.

It's called keeping the defense honest. Your also trying to catch the D off guard and break a quick hitter for 7-8 yards.

I know...but statistically your odds of picking up 3 and 5+ with a dive aren't as good as with a quick slant, screen, or in route? Know wad ahm sayin?
