You'd be surprised, I mean the illegal streams are pretty bad, but my xbox runs espn 3 and it's pretty solid.

ESPN3 isn't bad at all, but Justin.tv is a fricking joke of a picture. As good as ESPN3 is, an antenna is still much better quality. It also allows for less use of electricity if a generator or inverter is being used. I used an inverter with a 37 inch LCD and a cheap arse antenna in Phoenix for the Fiesta Bowl, and got 18 channels over the air. All the network channels came in in perfect HD.

SouljaBreauxTellEm,

I'll be watching it in a rural area in Washington Parish. I don't have a hot-spot and I'm not sure if that would be affected or not.

You may have issues with an antenna then as well. Try to get in as clear a spot as possible (no tress, concrete walls, etc.)

It's funny that these days people are more familiar with using computers and phones than a regular old TV antenna. It's also interesting that so many are jumping to "where can I watch online", which is typically a much lower quality picture than an antenna would offer.

It's funny how some people are so cynical that they're unable to significantly contribute to the solution, i.e., answering the question.

Well crap, that's not possible as I'll be surrounded by trees. I guess I'll bring a gamut of accessories, and if all else fails, defer to Hawthorne's senile commentary.

Hooked up the antenna and everything is crystal clear EXCEPT FOR ABC!!! Not even picking it up? Have it by a window, what else can I try?

You don't think I've contributed significantly? Anyway, my comment that you quoted was just an observation on our society as a whole, and not directed at you.

I am not saying it won't work, but the signal can be interfered with by trees. I'd get the antenna anyway. It is a pretty low risk option cost-wise.

Try moving it if possible. The signals for different networks likely come from all different locations. The NBC feed may come from the east, and ABC from the west. These channels should be available over the air in BR:

Baton Rouge, LA 95 WAFB CBS 9 9
WBRZ-TV ABC 2 13
WGMB FOX 44 45
WLPB-TV PBS 27 25
WVLA NBC 33 34

Almost definitely, I would think. It's on Tigervision, so I know it's blacked out on ESPN Gameplan.

I hope I wasn't the only one wondering why Northwestern-Boston College would be blacked out on ESPN3 in Louisiana.
