all of the haters on DJ obviously never watched Ivan Lendl back in the day. LIke a goddamn machine on the court, no emotion, no nothing. Although he was from Czech., it felt more like a guy from Russia at the end of the Cold War - a total enemy.

Some kind of aggravating to see him beat Americans, Mcenroe, Connors, etc..

What? Lendl was constantly showing emotion, but not like Connors. Lendl's head-bob after every winning point was nauseating.

He also didn't mind staring down others or firing shots at their heads when they were at net.

Lendl was a workout machine, but did not lack emotion as you are so wrong about.

He was great, JUST couldn't get over the top. However he had a much larger pool of GREAT Players he had to compete with.

NO EMOTION was his downfall. The CROWD was NEVER behind him. A VERY IMPORTANT aspect of tennis.
