I lived in El Paso at the time and remember a big aerial picture of Death Valley on the front of the sports section of the local newspaper leading up to the game.

I took my brother and ine if his friends to that game, we were sitting right behind the goalposts in the SEZ. My brother's friend caught the extra point after the first TD. I'm pretty sure that was the season opener.

I remember Larry Foster returning a punt for a touchdown. Ran like the law was after him.

im pretty sure i was at the game, just dont remember anything about it.
We had the wonderful fortune of having season tickets throughout the Curley years and got rid of them at some point in the late 90's
