I don't think this is like Rodney King.

Not talking about the Rodney King arrest, but the riots after the acquittal. If you've never seen the truck driver who just happened to be in possibly the worst place at the worst time, then google it. Frightening. Beaten within an inch of his life for trying to make a delivery.

honestly, i couldn't care less about him AFTER the arrest.

i want him to either be arrested now or have no charges, so we can get back to football.

the back and forth bullshite is hurting the team more than jefferson actually getting arrested.

we could get a game plan ready for the ducks.

This. I would love to see this wrapped up after Tuesday, and be done with it. Whatever happens happens.

A fight broke out in the bar. They kicked everyone out. the concrete octagon is the parking lot. What do you not understand?

Contradicts everything I've read thus far.

So now they are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and beaten within an inch of their lives? That is what I was asking about. I still have a hard time believing this was just an uninfluenced random act of violence.

I understood the statement, what I didn't understand is that I haven't read anything so far about a fight in the bar causing the one in the parking lot.

Maybe I shouldn't have said the fight. From what I hear, a fight broken out in the bar around closing time, so the turned the lights on and kicked everyone out

Reginald Denny. I remember it well.

I don't know what happened about that night other than what has been reported officially and I've read here. I'm not saying these guys were innocent of trash talking. The poor truck driver was in 1991, though.

ETA: Reginald Denny (thanks Godfather1)

My fault then. I thought you were trying to directly compare the two. The 1991 was definitely a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I could see that as a reason for the parking lot to be so packed. I thought at first you meant that this whole thing started out in the bar. That is what the was about.

The police have officially said that the beaten may have been the aggressors.

That won't change any charges against someone who kicked a person on the ground. But you would have to be pretty gullible to believe that people were pulled from a truck by 15 football player for honking and asking for them to move

If this is the case then couldn't the players also press charges, or claim to it have being in defense? Still wouldn't help the head kick, but would probably cause the others to be taken off the hook. Also if charges could be pressed on the other party, does anyone think that would cause them to want to go separate ways?

Regardless of the facts of the fight, he knowing led the team in breaking team rules as the team leader. That is not the type of leader I want on my team.

Good thing you don't suit up on saturdays or else we would miss you lots.
