That's the point. The offensive pace doesn't allow the Defense to sub out while the offense can still slip a few guys in and out. And the offense is banking on the strategy they are better conditioned so they can keep running those windsprints and by the 5-6 play they start getting you to make mistakes. Look at the games Oregon played. Teams were faking injruies and falling over to stop the play. Oregon never had to do that and never slowed down. Don't you think they wanted more TV timeouts?

If a no huddle offense subs a player the referee stands over the ball so the defense can also.
