Donnie Avery (knee, hamstring) returned to Rams practice on Wednesday.
It's good news for Avery, but he has a ways to go to earn a roster spot after a slower-than-expected recovery from ACL surgery that resulted in further nagging in-camp injuries. Avery looks like no better than St. Louis' fourth receiver.
