Which would be easier for a beginner like myself GIMP or Photoshop? The photoshop is free so the price compared to the free GIMP software isn't an issue.

I'm just trying to create a few simple logos by cropping out a circular image from an old logo I own and adding it into text. Example: replacing an O in text with the cropped image.
Thanks ahead of time for any input.

photoshop

ETA: GIMP doesn't even compare. There is a reason why photoshop has been the standard forever.

You should be fine with it as a beginner for what you want to do. If you have questions just ask.

If you are creating Logos you should use a vector program like illustrator.

What about Photo Pos Pro. It's free on Cnet.

Thanks
