Fishing it with my dad till thursday to celebrate his retirement. Struck out on white trout and small specks all day today. Anyone have a sure fire spot for a limit they wanna share? Would make my dads week. Thanks!

This is about 2weeks old, but a friend who has a camp on GI told me that they had good catches on keeper trout drift fishing close to the shore on the bay side of Grand Terre. He said that theu wanted live pogies.

Back of grand terre is usually good. Also bounce around all the camps in 4 bayous. If no luck there head up to basa basa. If u can't catch fish at these places they aint biting

Just fyi we fished elmers island sat morning and caught 69 specks some at 3 lbs. Just pull up about 25 yards from the beach and cast toward it. We caught them all on plastics. They stopped biting at about 9:30 so get there early.

I know u r heading east but if u don't have much luck head toward the west another day.

Haha, guides cleaning next to us said it has been a struggle lately, so I appreciate it. Never really head east much but it was well worth it. Really nice fish

We fished off of Elmer's Island and the state park pier this morning and definitely DID NOT destroy them.

you cant make it all the way to four bayous in a kayak. Now if you had a boat bring you out there and drop you off you could have endless possibilities on where to fish but a lot of it is open water. So if the wind picks up you might get f'ed in the A

thanks, 27th is the redfish tour tourney and the 28th is the kayak day, most of those guys will be either around fourchon or caminada. I never fish over there so i will probably fish caminada area. just hoping thewater wont be to dirty from the shrimp boats
