I think each kid is differant.
My dad brought me a couple times when I was about 8 or so, but I realy didn't start huntin till I was 12. I think my brother started a few years earlier than me, but he is older so I don't remember. If your kid can sit still and quiet long enough then go for it and don't worry about his age.
