Best WR Coprs in LSU history?

Saw something in another thread that inspired this. What is the rants opinion on best wr corps in LSU history......some nominees include:

2003:
Clayton, Henderson, Green, Bowe

2001:
Reed, Clayton, Meyers, Robinson

2007:
Byrd, Lafell, Toliver, Holliday

2005:
Doucet, Davis, Lafell, Bowe

I'd take '01 over '06. Reed was an unstoppable force and they had no weak link. Lafell couldn't catch consistently until late in '07 so he shouldn't even count for '06.

Lafell did not play a snap in 2005. 2006 is the correct year you are thinking of.

2001 for me. Reed was the equivalent of 2 receivers and Clayton was open as a result. I am not sure there has ever been a more prolific WR duo as these two were in 2001.

Toliver hardly played if at all. Doucet!

I gotta go with '06 as far as pure talent. Doucet, Bowe, Davis, LaFell....all drafted.

FWIW, the best LSU receiver I ever saw play in person was Wendell Davis, circa mid to late 80s.

2003 and 2005, this may have a lot to do with Mauk and Jamarcus having their best years ever with these guys though. 2001 had the best numbers though.
