Dude was just defending his team, but he did a pretty crappy job of it. Then the hosts just kept piling on. Bringing up destroying Illinois was pretty funny.

I disagree -- they kept him on hold while they made fun of his team. He did what was right -- defended them, and called the radio hosts out on it. All the radio guys could say was, "I don't appreciate your attitude with us."
You invite me on your show, make fun of my guys and expect me to be happy about it? Nah. That is not getting owned. Those guys acted like they are Howard Stern of Sports Radio. They aren't, and got pissed when a guest didn't treat them like they are. Props to the IU coach.

I agree with that... he doesn't strike me as awesome. He *could* have chilled out a bit, but chose not to. He'll probably get some respect from his players though.

I don't see why the hosts are pissed. They were flowing with IU jokes...I'd be pissed too...so I don't understand their reaction. How about they make fun of IU some other time, and not when they have their coach on the line.

coach is waiting to talk on the air and they crack a joke about preparing to play in the conference titla game

It's not like they were making fun teams he's coached. How hard would it have been for him to simply say he's trying to change that perception of the Indiana program. The host were douches but he comes off as trying to fight more than trying to defend his programs.
