You'd think that LSU would've been all over a team that had never won a title, but for some reason UF always played LSU tough.

Of course, in your favor, you did say "before Spurrier", so that could be interpreted to mean pre-1964 in which case the record would be 8-4-1 in LSU's favor, a much more respectable .654 win%, outscoring the gators, on average, 15-9.

It's all good. I don't have a problem with UF but I do have a problem with the SEC saying UF was more of a rival.


Just another example of the SEC trying to keep LSU down.

Some odd streaks and games in the 'pre-Spurrier' era. From 1980 to 1986 the home team didn't win a game.When Spurrier was QB from '64-'66 Florida won all 3 but the next year in Gainesville ,LSU creamed them 37-6. Florida won 3 in a row from '74-'76 then LSU won 4 in a row from '77-'80.
