it is 3.2% by weight. Most beers are listed by volume. 3.2% ABW is about 4.0% ABV, so i think normally brewed light beers are ok.

and also that 3.2% rule is only for certain stores.

i'm no expert, though, dont recall ever buying beer in utah or colorado

I was just in colorado. Most grocery stores had a separate liquor store inside the Grocery store. You did walk through a vestibule and had to pay separately from the groceries.

ETA: And you could also buy growlers and 6 packs togo at the brewpubs.

I was specifically wondering about Florida. I've google it and can't really find what I'm looking for. I heard it again from a friend a couple years back. I told her to bring me the empty case/can and show me the lower content and I'd pay for it. Never settled that bet.
