I doubt many hate him (lsu fans)...he's done nothing but won while at lsu...
that said, he does some off the wall stuff and he's had enough talent to win more than 1...that could piss some off knowing lsu will most likely always be in the championship hunt. Things do go in cycles, so the 90's is also possible...its been a while

I think it is true we have had a lot of talent. But I personally have kind of changed my mind about this. To say that we should have won more than one since Les came to LSU would not give credit to the amount of talent at other schools in the conference. Alabama, Auburn, Florida have all been at minimum equal in talent and all have great coaching staffs. Other schools like Arkansas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Georgia etc. certainly have enough play makers to beat anyone in the conference on any given Saturday. And in Georgia's case I don't think I have ever seen a football program more destroyed more seasons in a row by massive injuries to an offensive line. Almost freaky. But look at the top teams in the SEC and look at their recruiting. You really can't draw a line between the talent.
