Can anyone help? I'm pissed because I have to cut my yard before the rain hits.

For the last few weeks, it's taking longer for it to fire off. I changed the fuel filter a month ago and that seemed to help. Checked the spark plug, and it's fine. This morning, just kept turning over and over, but will not start.

Any suggestions?

BTW, it's a Snapper, the small rear engine, electric start.

Could be you're not getting enough gas to the motor. If it's not the spark, check the carb. Might be dirty again.

Could be solenoid valve

OK, thanks.

Is it possible it may be flooded? The new fuel filter I put on is clear, and I can see the gas in the filter. I'm wondering if I may have flooded it, because I can smell gas too.

If flooded, do I just wait a while before I try to restart? Any idea on how long?

Thanks for any input.

Make sure you have plenty of blinker fluid.

Take the spark plug and air filter out for about a half hour. Then give it another try.

Will do.

I don't think it's the solenoid because when I turn the key, it is spinning. It just won't fire and start.

I'm gonna give the spark plug and AF a try. Again, thanks.

Must have been flooded. Did what Tulane said and it started about an hour later.

Thanks for the helpful replies.

Did you check the sparkplug? I hear that it could have caused your problem.

Actually, this thread was probably, substance wise, one of the best ones here. It helped you with your problem and honestly it's refreshing to see a good thread like this.
