FINALLY up to an SEC playing weight. Took long enough but he will once again be our key inside reserve this year. Good run blocker and smart, just got tossed around in pass blocking by DTs when he was in the 280 range.
P.S. source is him saying this at SEC media days...
On gaining weight this offseason… “I played about 300 during the spring, right now I’m about 306, so it’s the heaviest I’ve ever been but I feel good. Coach [Tommy] Moffitt put on the right kind of weight and I’m excited to get back to playing football and see how this weight is going to help me.”

So will he play the guard position full-time?

T Bob automatically needs to go in at center if two minute drill needed at end of game - might be the only one on the field that has a clue of how to handle that situation

Nice to see something positive today

He's the #2 C and #2 LG...RG looks to be between Blackwell and Williford.

His heady play at the end of the UT game won it for us.

TBob is going to see major PT with his weight up. He's one of our smarter linemen, helps to have that guy on the field properly setting up the blocking scheme.

from a depth chart perspective, yes...but I'd bet if Blackwell gets hurt, T-Bob goes in

For someone that gives him a lot of crap, I will admit he played better last year.

Have T-Bob's feet gotten any bigger?

Last year this was the case, but this year I'm not so sure. They really talk highly of Williford now.

is he a senior or a rs junior?
Posted on 7/22/11 at 4:21 pm to Rex Manning
T-Bob is a senior unfortunately

Weight doesn't always = strength, but hopefully it does in this case. T-Bob had a lot more issues than being light in the britches with his blocking even last season, but I think he'll be a solid contributor this season.
One thing I'll give Hebert is that he's improved each season he's been here, and that is a positive trend we can't say about some of our players.

thats just 10 more lbs to land on JJ's leg when he's getting powerbombed by opposing DTs. But he'll start all year because he and Stud are BFF.

That's just more weight to pick up off the ground after he fakes an injury.

he'll be a first round pick per some guy who called bobby and deked on wwl. Reminds the caller of Jeff Saturday.
