In Tunica, Ms for a few days on business. Ventured to Memphis last night. Went to a restaurant called The Beauty Shop - as the name implies, its housed in a 60s era women's salon. Even had the old cone shape hair dryers still affixed to some of the chairs. Great funky atmosphere. Food was outstanding and extremely reasonably priced. GF had the lamb chops, and I had the swordfish. Both were perfectly grilled, and mine came with a great succotash side. Split a heirloom tomato salad, and a ceviche app. Together with a bottle of vino, bill was under $100.
Anyone else ever been there? Anyone have other recommendations for Memphis dining?

Haven't been, but I've heard of it. Central BBQ is a must IMHO...

Yeah it is. It is always a lunch spot for me when I go to Memphis.
