I posted earlier in this thread that my 06 PSD is fine with 50K miles on it. My warranty is up in october and also it will be paid off. Im planning to bite the bullet and have the cab removed and going the way of the outlaw from that point on.

I have called Powerstroke Magic in Houston and was qouted a price of 4K to do all the work I want done. That 4K is only good if I drive the Truck in....If it breaks before then it could be more damage and therefore more money.

EGR Bypass
ARP Head Studs
Head Gaskets
Coolant Flush
I will also prolly also spend more on a Tuner
4"Cat delete Turbo back exhaust.

I have yet to put on my coolant bypass filter that I have
and I will get the Oil Bypass Filter System as well.

Its a damn shame that I have to do all this crap to a $50K Truck. I blame the govt. and Ford.

That's what burns my arse more than anything. The old 7.3 stroke and 5.9 cummins could be had with a manual tranny 4x4 truck for around 30k and could be driven at 22 mpg until the truck fell apart around the motor and transmission. These days, a diesel does good to get over 18 mpg, costs 50k, has a shitload of problems, can't be had with a manual tranny (except dodge), cranks out a bazillion ft lbs of torque, and still isn't as good as the old raw raw's IMO.
