America's got Talent contestent Dezmond Meeks of
Pineville, Louisiana told a national audience that he was an outcast growing up in the Shreveport area, because he wore the color PURPLE.
My question is Shreveport LSU Texas or Arkansas
territory?
Or was it Dezmond's glitter high heels and makeup that really caused his negative feedback?

Since Shreveport isn't far from the borders of Texas and Arkansas, you do see some transplants who are Arkansas fans or fans of Texas schools. But its LSU by a long shot that dominates Shreveport.

is an attention whore and wanted everyone's pity. no one in louisiana would give you trouble for wearing purple.

LSU all the way. there are a lot of graduates up there (especially baby boomers) as well as younger kids. and even if they went to Tech, ULM, BPCC or LSU-S they still pull for LSU over Arkansas or Texas.

as far as NFL.. honestly, before the Saints recent success the majority of Shreveport was Cowboys fans. now it's split pretty evenly.

1. LSU by a mile
2. Saints
3. Cowboys
4. Arkansas

I've lived here for 40 years and never met a fan of Texas or Oklahoma.
There are a large number of Arkies up here.

Shreveport does have a pretty big Ole Miss crowd (way bigger than Arkansas, Texas, and Texas A&M). I would say it's....

LSU-90%
Ole Miss-5%
Arkansas,Texas,Texas A&M,etc-5%

grew up in Shreveport, it's very strong LSU, La Tech is strong as well as the bigger Texas schools and Arkansas is not as despised either.

Doesn't Shreveport have these gigantic billboards off of I-49 that says , "Welcome to Tiger Town", "Shreveport is Tiger Country","Geaux LSU/Geaux Tigers", etc?
