Persecuting someone for federal perjury is not a waste of time IMO. Its the feds way of showing they don't frick around and lying to them will be taken extremely seriously.

I just don't understand how he couldn't be tried again considering what the prosecution showed has been plastered all over the media anyways.

The Feds have no business asking about steroids in baseball though.
